Deleted Devices still Claimed

After deletion of my three devices from my nRFCloud/Memfault account, neither I, nor a colleague of mine are able to add the device for use with the cloud. The message we see is 'Device Claimed'

How can we un-claim the devices? Now they do not appear either in the old nRF Cloud, neither in the new experience one.

I was advised to search for  Security Services → Claimed Devices, but there is no such thing as → Claimed Devices.

  • Hi,

I was advised to search for  Security Services → Claimed Devices, but there is no such thing as → Claimed Devices.

This is in the legacy nRF Cloud. You can access the legacy interface by clicking the "legacy App" button located at the bottom of the left bar.

How can we un-claim the devices? Now they do not appear either in the old nRF Cloud, neither in the new experience one.

What process did you use to claim the devices? Did you do it in the legacy cloud or in the new experience?

    Best regards,

    Simon

  • I was unaware if I claimed them. But I tried to delete them in the 'new experience'. The delete worked, but they apparently were still claimed..

Your suggestion to check the original cloud helped a lot, because after deleting the devices there, one of them accepted on a colleague's Memfault account.
