Difference between ble_power_profiling and other nordic apps

Hi, Everyone,

I found out on that ble_app_power_profiling application is developed for Lower power current consumption....as It keeps system in the system_off_mode until button1 or button2 is pressed and then advertise for given interval (30 seconds) and goes to system_off_mode...

But, All the nordic example apps also have power manage function , which puts the application in the idle mode and saves current consumption....

So, What is the difference between other and ble_power_profiling application except system_off_mode during start up and wake up on button press....???

Does it uses some different hadware initialization for Lower current Consumption ???

Hi

In terms or current consumption, I suspect there is not much difference. Every BLE example in the SDK, the CPU is disabled with calling power_manage function, and also many of the examples also feature System Off mode. So you should be measuring the same current consumption in System off mode and System On mode with CPU disabled, as in any other BLE example in the SDK.
