How substrate thickness affect the antenna performance?

Hi Nordic Community and Developers,

I'm designing a small Bluetooth module using nRF51822 to use it in my next projects and I need to use thinner substrate material (~0.65mm).

Now I need to know how it will affect the antenna performance and the reference design layout.

This will affect the tuning of your transmission trace. Just be sure to use any of the numerous free Transmission Trace Impedance calculators and set your substrate height according to your PCB specs and adjust your trace width/ground clearance until its tuned.

I'm just working on one of these too. What's the electrical length represent and is there a value I need to try and get it to be, or is 50 ohm the one important target I'm trying to nail? Given the limited space I have, I can't really make the line much longer or shorter than the obvious distance between the nrf52 and the chip antenna I'm using, so there doesn't seem much I can do to affect it.
