nRF51822: about using GCC tool chain

Hi, I'm somewhat confused about using GCC, since I don't want to use Keil. I'm using nRF51 DK. I see makefiles in the example subdirs of SDK, but I would expect at least to be able running make from a dos box (I'm using Windows 7-64), after a proper setup. However no make in the path.

The compiling docs seem missing, or at least I don't find them. The same is true concerning tool chain selection. Btw, I tried to run "make flash_softdevice" while trying to build the proximity example, but make is unknown in this context. Thanks for any explanation.

Have you seen the Development with GCC and Eclipse tutorial? Although the tutorial is for GCC and Eclipse, the first part ("Before we begin") is general installation and setup for the GCC toolchain. I recommend that you have a look at it, as it describes how to install and set up make correctly.
