Tx current of nrf51

In the datasheet it is mentioned that the tx current is 10mA without DCDC. In our board, we are seeing a Tx peak current of 13.5mA. So my question is the does that quoted 10mA tx current include the 4mA current consumption by the ARM core, so that overall peak current during a Advertising becomes 14mA?

Additional info: We are using Softdevice s110 v5 with nrf51822 16kb ram, 128kb rom chip.

Hi,

As stated in the electrical specifications for the radio in the product specification, the specified TX current is for TX only. Any additional currents could be peripherals or processing core.

Hi, thanks for the prompt answer. During the advertising the the processor core is utilised by the softdevice and application code is not run at that time. From your answer what I infer is that (tx = 10ma) + (I_cpu = 4.1ma) = 14ma should be the expected current consumption during ble advertisement at 0dBm. Is that correct?

That should be correct.

hello karlsen could ou please verify this point 10.5mA means 10.5mAh or can i take 0.0029mAh per hour
