About the VDDPA pin

Hi

Could I use 3.3V to the C3 capacity in the application example,datasheet?That is to say,C3 doesn't connect to VDDPA pin and 3.3V connect to the C3.I found that it is better for the distance and communication quality even it is in a complex environment.But I wonder wether this can be done or the chip would be destory?

Hi Angela,

The normal output on VDD_PA is 1.6V. So it's not recommended to over-voltage on C3 (that will over-voltage ANT pins). Furthermore, VDD_PA is only active when the radio is active. This way, the chip can saves power consumption. If you supply C3 with 3.3V constantly you may experience higher current consumption.
