How can we measure idle current for nrf51422?

I tried measuring idle current for nrf51422 board and got something about 1900 uA using multimeter without resistor and with bridge SB9 cut. I know the value is too high. i know it should be around 3 uA. Can anyone help to achieve the measurement with multimeter(with uA precision)?

How do you power the chip? You should not use USB. Which version of the DK do you have? Which software are you running? You can try to put the chip in System OFF first. If you get high current, you have some leakage current somewhere.

Hi Stian, I am using SDK 11.0 alpha. I am using external DC power supply(3V) and default ble_app_pwr_profiling from example. It seems like there is leakage. :(

Hmm, that is weird. This is the regular PCA10028 development kit right? Are you sure the firmware on the chip is running while you have the ampere meter connected? I have experienced that if I use the highest sensitivity on a multimeter (in the uA range) the chip doesn't start because the current peaks are cut of.
