Active current consumption nRF52832

Hi

I can't seem to find this in the datasheets, what is the active current consumption of the nRF52832 chip, I'm interested in the maximum expected current consumption, when the processor is running and everything else on. I'm currently designing the power supply for a system with this chip.

Your question is very open. How much power is drawn depends on what you are doing with the SoC at any given time. Are you for example just advertising or are you in a connection, are you using the CPU, how much RAM do you use, are you using some of the serial interfaces, etc.

However, have a look at the power profiler with its accompanying blog post. Here you can get a feeling of how much power is drawn during advertising.

To get a complete picture you will have to think about what modules on the SoC you use. Then look up the modules in the Product spec.

As an example:

CPU current, running from flash, cache enabled, DCDC 3V (IDDFLASHCACHEDCDC) is 3.7 mA.

64 MHz internal oscillator (HFINT) run current is 60 uA.

Thank you, I'm currently just designing the power supply, so I needed the maximum value being drained from the source, with every possible feature ON and the CPU at highest operating frequency.
