pstorage: how does it know which nvm belongs to which app?

Hello,

I need to store some data to flash, and am starting to review pstorage. My question: how does pstorage know which blocks belong to which application? It appears to be based entirely on order of initialization, but wanted to confirm.

Also, if we update the firmware, and the update requires a change to flash/nvm usage, how is this typically handled with pstorage, such that we preserve previous data and only add the new storage requirements?

Hi,

'block_id' field of pstorage_handle_t contains the flash page address that is used for the registered application in case it is useful information for you.

Adding a new module to use flash in firmware should not be a problem as long as the older modules are registered in the previous order.
