Set OOB key on Master Control Panel?

Hello,

Is there a way to set the OOB key while using the master control panel windows software?

Edit: and if not, is there a quick method to test a peripheral's OOB implementation? (assuming I know the OOB key) from a PC or Mac or Ubuntu or some other target??

best regards,

Matthew

  • [ EDIT ] : OOB is now supported with MCP v3.10. Go to File -> Option -> Security, you can enable Out of Band authentication support.

There isn't any way to do OOB with the Master Control Panel itself, but if you want to, you should be able to test this by making a custom application based on the Master Emulator API. This API is available in C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\Master Emulator\2.1.7.8226\ when having installed the Master Control Panel.
