nrf52 factory state

Hello,

I have a question for a nordic employee:

What is the factory flash state of a nrf52 chip ? Is there any pre-programmed bootloader ? With other processor, for example, it is already programmed to be flashed via USB or UART...

If the nrf52 chip is completely empty, is there any other solution to flash it without buying hundred JLink-debuggers for the industrialization process ?

Thank you for your answer!

  • They come from the factory blank. You may be able to get whoever is assembling your board to bulk program them for you before or after assembly or get a 3rd party shop to do it before you ship them.

Or get lots of JLinks and do it yourself (and remember to get a commercial license for Seggers bulk programming tool if you do that, JLink is not licensed for that activity).
