Regarding NFC Antenna ckt.

Hi,

I'm newbie in the RF Design. For my project nRF52832 chip is being used for BLE and NFC. Have a query regarding the NFC section which is listed below-

Please refer the recommended EMC filter and matching ckt. (series and shunt capacitors) in the attached datasheet of W7001 from Pulse . As per the nRF52832 device datasheet, Section 42.9 and the reference design PCA10040 implementation, there is only tuning capacitor that needs to be provided.

Please let me know if I should follow the reference design PCA10040 or the recommneded circuit as provided in the attached datasheet.

Hi,

Follow the recommendations in the Product Specification, only a tuning shunt tuning capacitor is needed. Use the formula to calculate C_tune. Cp and Cint are so small (Cint is 4pF) so you can omit them.

Thanks Ole. To protect the device would it be better to add the AC coupling capacitor.
