nrf52 dk Arduino Uno R3 shield compatible - true/false?

Has anyone tried to plug an R3 shield to the nrf52 DK?

I was about to try, but it looks like the pins don't line up correctly - but then I have no experience with R3 shields. All I have is an accurate way to measure the Nordic DK socket alignment and spacing, and it doesn't seem to match the spec. Am I missing something?

I have a 3.3V shield design. I just want to know if a standard Arduino shield physically fits into the sockets on the nrf52 DK, because it looks like it won't.​ Thanks for your input.
