whitelist only one peer device bonding in nRF8001?

Hi Guys, my project requirement is i have to make sure that my nRF8001 should bond with only one peer device. So i intend do a whitelist one peer device address, whitelist address will be taken when nRF8001 is power ON. I'm able to get peer device address but how do i whitelist that address in nRF8001 to bond with that whitelist address.

Do you know if the peer device uses a static address or could it also be a random private address?

hi run_ar, yes peer device has general public address. i checked many times by powering off and on but peer device address didn't change.

If you know for sure the peer device will always use a static address, and you plan on bonding with the nRF8001 a whitelist will be automatically enabled. That is the nRF8001 automatically enable a whitelist for bonded peers using a static address. However if the device uses a resolvable private address the whitelist will be disabled. It is still possible for the application processor to resolve the peer address by using information from the dynamic data (which contains the bond info).

peer device address will be static for sure, but as you mentioned "a whitelist will be automatically enabled", i didn't find anything like that. so as i try to connect another peer device it is connecting with nRF8001. coming to nRF8001 i'm seeing static device address across all different peer device in different time period. automatically how can i create a whitelist.

The whitelist will be enabled automatically only if you bond with a peer that is using a random static address. If you bond with a peer that is using a resolvable private address (e.g. iOS and newer android devices) the whitelist will not be enabled.
