Sorry, it is not 5V-tolerant.
The only product that we have that is 5V tolerant on the data interface is nRF24L01+. But this product is proprietary RF only, no BLE.
If you need 5V compatibility, then you must use a level shifter between your MCU and the nRF8001.

We have used the nRF8001 module from the development kit wiring it directly to an Arduino uno (5V). This will work for some time, but it will eventually kill the chip.
Note that this is for the SPI interface, not VDD. VDD should still be max 3.6V.
