Samsung Galaxy S3 and nRF51822

I have bought the Bluetooth low energy evaluation kit nRF51822. It can be paired with a Nexus and a Sony Xperia without problems, but it does not appear at all on Samsung Galaxy S3 running Android 4.3 when the Galaxy scans for devices. What could be the problem?

    Hi Klas

    It is my experience that BLE devices does not show up in the regular Bluetooth menu on the S3. You will have to install an app supporting BLE to see BLE devices. In a way this makes sense as there might be a large number of BLE advertisers in certain environments, and seeing all of them would just be confusing.

    Please try the Master Control Panel app from Nordic: play.google.com/.../details

    With this one you should be able to discover and connect to BLE devices.
