off current in DC DC Mode

Hello Everyone,

I am designing the prototype using NRF51822 and i have choosen the DC DC power mode but the real problem is most of the time my radio will be sleeping so i just wanted to know how much current the DC DC mode will consume during sleep mode i did not find any informations concerning the sleep mode current of DC DC mode could anyone know some informations about this point could you please clarify me becuase if the DC DC mode will consume more current than LDO mode during sleep mode then i will go with LDO mode instead of DCDC mode any suggestions or ideas will be really helpful for me

Hi,

Please refer to this post. DC/DC mode has a higher current draw in sleep modes than the LDO, hence it is only activated when it achieves better performance, i.e. when the radio is transmitting or under heavy CPU load.

could you please tell me appoximatley how much does it will consume dc dc mode during sleep ?

The DC/DC in itself consumes 300 µA, this is added to the currents consumed found in the specifications.
