mbed OS versus mbed Classic SDK

Hi,

Is Nordic looking to support mbed OS on the nrf51/nrf52 series chips?

Currently it looks like the best supported platform is the mbed Classic SDK, but it looks like ARM is going to be deprecating that over time, so no bugfixes will flow into that platform. But mbed OS looks like it's still relatively new.

Also, from what I can see from this question (devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../), it doesn't look like the nrf52 will be getting mbed Classic SDK support?

Wondering which direction to go, between these two options?

Hi.

Both normal mBed and mBed OS support is in the works. I cannot give any dates unfortunately. Watch the mBed website for news.

I think your assumption is correct about mBed OS being prioritized with bug fixed and updates, but this is just speculation.
