Secure advertising packets

Whats the best way to secure my advertising packets such that others cannot make sense out of it?

Do we encrypt the packet data so that it is gibberish, random and not in any particular format so others cannot make sense of it?

I also need secure data transmitting in advertise packets. I'm going to use encrypted manufacturer data field
