I bought two EZAIRO 7150 SL hybrid board, (which contains a MOTHERBOARD & DAUGHTERBOARD). As part of the problems we have been having trying to establish a wireless connection, we were told to update the radio firmware at the transmitter side (daughterboard).

Now in order to update the firmware on the nRF51822 attached to the daughterboard, we were asked to use the nRFgo studio and a JTAG adapter to establish a connection with the daughterboard.

Could anyone advice me on what JTAG adapter I would need to buy to connect to this daughterboard? I've attached picture of the motherboard, daughterboard and the circuit connections. I'm not sure which JTAG adapter I would need.

Hi,

You can use a J-Link debugger intended for Cortex-M devices, for example this one.

Alternately you can use the method described in this blogpost.

You can get started using tutorials here on devzone, and the documentation at infocenter. The video in the blogpost linked above explains how to interface the nRF DK with an external board using the SWD interface, from what I can see your board has that interface present.
