nrf51822 simulator

Hi, I am developing a software that connects to nRF51822 over UART. I donot have the physical device currently so I downloaded its Soft device under the impression that it would simulate the actual device, am I correct? If not, is there a simulator available? can I have the guide book/manual for that simulator?

No there is no simulator available and the softdevice is not a simulator, it's the bluetooth stack which goes on the actual device. If you want to develop, you need a development kit.

no there no simulator you need a development kit as in the nrf51822 (or nrf52) Development Kit, the hardware, you cannot simulate it.
