Hi,
is it possible to configure the nRF51822 Beacon (RCA20006), that it could be used as a wifi access nfc device. So that the device (Beacon) sends the Wifi SSID and Password to the mobile device for a easy Wifi login.
Thanks Patrick

Sounds like one huge, gaping security hole to me!
But the nRF51 don't have NFC - only BLE.
Sorry. BLE instead of NFC on the nRF51. For guests in a hotel, it would be fine, because they don't have to type in the wifi password which they get on a reception. They only have to hold there smartphone on the tag and confirm the wifi connection. Ther is a way with QR-Codes (www.qrcode-monkey.com/, but I think BLE or NFC would be much more easier.
The thing with NFC & QR Codes is that they only work when virtually in contact with the phone - thus they have the inherent security that they cannot be "snooped" from a distance.
BLE is entirely the opposite - it is inherently broadcasting to all & sundry within range. So it would be a nightmare with, eg, people picking up the WiFi code for the next room!
And, anyhow, most hotels don't work this way; rather, the access to the WiFi is "open" - and you sign-in to a "portal" once you've connected.
