No master emulator connected

Hi,

I'm trying to use Master Control Panel to communicate with a sensor that we've developped (nRF52 based). I have the nRF51 dongle (PCA10031).

When I start the application Master Control Panel I receive the message 'No master emulator found'. If I click on File and then 'Flash Programming...' I receive the error 'No device selected'.

A colleague has reprogrammed the dongle previously for another usage. I've tried to reprogram the dongle by dragging the file MEFW_nrf51822_0.11.0_firmware_1M.hex into the mounted USB drive 'MBED'. The drive then closes and reappears and the MEFW_nrf51822_0.11.0_firmware_1M.hex has disappeared. If I unplug the dongle and plug it back in LD1 turns white/light purple.

I still however cannot access the dongle from Master Control Panel, I still have the same mesage 'No master emulator found'.

Not an answer to your question, but you could try and use nRF Connect. I guess it is planned to replace Master Control Panel.

Ok, I've fixed it, this is what I did.

1. Download J-Link Interface MCU Firmware (www.nordicsemi.com/.../9403049)

2. Placed the dongle into bootloader mode (hold down the reset button when plugging in the dongle)

3. Copied J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordicSemi 160212.bin to the bootloader

4. Wait until the drive dismounts and the mbed LED is flashing continuously

5. Unplug (or turn off/on) the board and plug in again

6. Start Master Control Panel

7. File.. Flash programming

8. Set the firmware version to 0.11.0

9. Click program !

Problem fixed :)
