Mass Production test firmware

Hi,

We are going into mass production with our first product and would like some expert advice on what is the best approach.

1.) Since we would be doing production tests (e.g. DTM for BLE) to confirm the behaviour of hardware we would need a special firmware that needs to be flashed. We are looking to minimize number of steps in production. Hence would not prefer flashing multiple times/ doing OTA(relatively time consuming). Could you give us suggestion on how to go about this?

2.) Also does FCC/CE certification require the original firmware to be flashed or only the test firmware( radio test example) is enough? If original firmware shud be present then we may have to provide way to enter testing mode.

Hi Arjun,

You can "merge" different FWs to one, with DTM it's very easy job. Then you can switch between them by HW or SW conditions. This is usual approach.
