how to increment a count(i.e count should be keep on incrementing) untill button is released

hi all,

i am using sdk v8. i want to on rtc when button is pressed and i want to off the rtc when it is released. i am using bsp_handler only for button press.

PROBLEM when button is pressed rtc is getting on but immediately rtc is getting off. i dont want to set any particular delay. please help me. i am a beegineer to nrf51822.

Since you are using bsp module you are using app_timer and you have to use app_timer API to ensure correct operation. Use app_timer_cnt_get to get the current counter value of the RTC and app_timer_cnt_diff_compute to calculate the difference between to RTC counter values. If no timers are running the app_timer module will stop the RTC, so if you have no timers running create a "dummy" timer.
