SPI frequency 125k freezes nrf51822

Why does SPI frequency of 125k freezes my nrf51822 and a frequency of 4M makes it run normal ?

what do you mean by freezes? does it get stuck in app_fault_handler?

I don't know this. I found no reference to any app_fault_handler. What is this ? I googled it and found nothing.

It starts advertising, but when I try to connect to it, it seems that it is stuck in some kind of some loop from which it does not exit. I cannot access it's services and read characterists. It just keeps loading when I press the connect button on the nrf Master Control Panel app.

The only case when it doesn' t freeze is when I use 4M frequency for the SPI. All other frequency setups make the chip to halt.
