for NRF52 SD132 Do I need to flash a softdevice and dfu hex for the dfu to work? Is there any prebuild dfu hex available?

Which version of the nRF5 SDK are you using?

Version 11 contains pre-built hex files of the DFU bootloader (nRF5_SDK_11.0.0_89a8197\examples\dfu\bootloader\hex) and images that can be uploaded (nRF5_SDK_11.0.0_89a8197\examples\dfu\ble_dfu_send_hex).
