Beacon Power Optimization

Dear Nordic Team, I am using nRF51422 development kit.

I tried Beacon app example code.It consume around 195uA. How to reduce the power consumption.

I am also checked in your website this application is not power optimized. please refer this link infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp

I want to know the how to power optimized this example code,

Hi Murugan

You can obtain lower power for the beacon by choosing larger advertising interval, but it is a tradeoff of responsiveness of your beacon, i.e. how quickly you detect the beacon from a BLE central device. You can also change the transmission power, but that will decrease the range of the beacon. The expected current consumption is described on this thread, and I think what you measure with the default beacon example is what to expect.
