We have a project where we would like to use a balanced / dipole pcb antenna. As far as the great docs on the site stands, it's all for unbalanced / monopole antennas. Any suggestion as of how to proceed for a dipole trace antenna ?

Hi Thomas,
The reason why we do not have any balanced antennas for our 2.4 GHz radios is because they do not attenuate harmonics and other spurious sufficiently. The BALUN network that we provide (matching network) has essentially two jobs:
If you use a loop-antenna or similar balanced antennas, you will have issues suppressing harmonics and spurious enough to pass teleregulatory requirements.

Makes sense. Thanks Håkon (or Tom Selleck :) )

Hi,
If I do not have such restrict to pass any teleregulatory requirements, just for out private project, is it possible that I use a dipole antenna directly without other components?
