Ble advertising vs RFID

Hello,

i am developing a product with the nrf52. I would like to add "rfid like" functionality on it (the purpose is to detect runner on the finsih line). As the nrf52 is laready on the board, i was asking myself (and now also you) if it was possible to use Ble advertising to do this job. It is good as rfid system ?

It's pretty much the same as an Active RFID tag ...

Yes, i was thinking also that... but i don't know if some feature can be equal for bluetooth, for example :

• some rfid reader can read 1000 tag in one seconde.
• some rfid reader can read tag moving fast (60km/h) I don't know how can we compute this kind of theory for bluetooth advertising, and if someone already have this kind of information.
