Listening on avdvertising data

Hey folks,

i need to programm a nRF52 dev. kit to advertise data and receive advertisings sequentially, without connecting any device. It means that i need to advertise datapackets and then switch to a listening mode, where i extract the manufacturer specific data of every advertised datapacket on Air and compare the content. Actually like a sniffer with a custom filter.

Is there any detailed example available??

The s132 softdevice is capable of being peripheral and central concurrently. This means that you can advertise and scan at the same time, no need to stop advertising and start scanning. There are two examples of this in SDK12, found in examples/ble_central_and_peripheral. These examples also does connection, but you can remove this in your application if you don't need it.

okay and where (which variable) can i find the manufacturer data or payload of the received adv. packet, to print it for example on the serial port ?

See ble_app_hrs_rscs_relay example. When an advertising device is detected, a BLE_GAP_EVT_ADV_REPORT event will occur and is handled in on_ble_central_evt() handler function. The advertising report is found in &p_gap_evt->params.adv_report.
