custom characteristics in standard service

How to add custom characteristics in standard service ?. I am using Health Thermometer service (HTS). I want to add two custom service for Low temperature write characteristics and High temperature write characteristics.

If you use the HTS service UUID I think you should implement it according to its spec. Why not have another custom service with your custom characteristics?
