rf sniffer works on some devices, but not all

I am trying to setup a couple systems to use the Nordic rf sniffer. I have a pca10000, a pca10001 ver 2.0, a pca10001 ver 2.1 and a pca10031.

I loaded all with the rf sniffer firmware, ble-sniffer_nRF51822_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.hex

When I run ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.exe, it sees all the devices and lists ble devices seen, but only the pca10031 and the pca10001 ver 2.0 show any data when wire shark is launched. NOTE: I am testing the 4 boards one at a time!

Additionally, the 'l' command only works on the two previously mentioned dev boards.

What is happening?

See this thread. Seems like newer jlink driver will make the sniffer not work. Could you check if this is the case and if so try the suggested workaround?

Thanks much, it all makes sense now. I had a laptop with jlink 4.98 ant tried it. It worked as you suggested
