Programmer for NRF51822

Hello,

I just purchased this device: www.aliexpress.com/.../32399375500.html

but found out that evaluation board is only a debugger and does not actually program the board.

Before I buy, I just wanted to make sure that the debugger and programmer below is the only hardware I will need to buy to program the NRF51822 board using NRFGO studio.

Thanks for the help!

  • Hi,

P&E has a simple programmer for the NRF51822 called the the USB Multilink Universal. You'll also need the PROGACMP software. This combination will allow you to program flash via a GUI manually. PROGACMP also includes a commandline version that can run via batch files so the steps can be automated. There is also a more advanced FX version of the USB Multilink Universal that can supply 3.3V or 5V to the target board.

If you want a more robust production level programmer, P&E has the Cyclone Universal. It is stand alone, can provide power, has internal flash memory to store programming images, and a touch screen for programming image selection.
