nRF24L01+ Fake?

Hi,

I'm using a RF module with nRF24L01+. Sometimes the RF stop working, the module keep replying status of no rx data (all pipes).

The device is embedded into a device used along with valves and motors. I guess the nRF24L01+ is being very sensitive to power input.

We are worried that the nRF24L01+ is fake. Could someone help us out? It was supposed to be a circle over the N instead of a square in the original.

I have checked the chip markings agains our production database and the tracecode exist and corresponds to a nRF24L01p, indicating that its an authentic Nordic chip.

However, the chip markings may have been copied from an authentic chip, so if you want to be 100% sure you will have to send the chip to us.

Hi Bjørn,

The image is from one of the chips we were worried about being fake. We have a batch of boards using nRF24L01p in field having the same issues and the tracecodes are different.

We started suspecting about the fakeness after looking at this post from hackaday: hackaday.com/.../

It would be very important for us to find out if the ICs we are using are fake or not. To where and for whom should I send the chips for analysis?

The chips needs to be sent to our Quality Assurance(QA) department for analysis. I kindly ask you to create a support ticket in our Mypage system (just put my name in the description and it will be assigned to me) and then I'll transfer it to the QA guys. .The QA guys will provide you with instructions and shipping address.
