What is the best way to start a new nRF52 project

What is the best way to start a new nRF52 project, on a custom PCB? I have a custom PCB, with nRF52 module. I use IAR, with ST-LINK V2 Say to test the GPIOs, do I start with "blinky"? I can compile blinky, but how do I flash the BLE module? The blinky project wants to use the JLink on the DK. I get error: ST-Link USB communication error What do I need to change to flash blinky onto my own PCB? Blinky seems to have all the libraries and include files already defined.

I haven't used the ST-Link V2, we recommend using J-Link from Segger.

But, maybe this is of help.

You could take a look at OpenOCD as it supports STLink and also the nRF5 series processors

It looks like its possible to use OpenOCD with IAR
