iOS10 nRF Beacons App not seeing nRF Beacon Kit

Just received my Nordic nRF Smart Beacon Kit and was following the instructions in the User Guide to get setup. I inserted the battery into the beacon and there's an LED flashing purple. In the nRF Beacons app, I go to "+" then "Add Nordic Beacon". A blank Nordic Beacon properties screen shows up. Then, I go to "Connect" which brings up the "Scan" screen. Still nothing.

I also have a Texas Instruments beacon. If I open up the TI SmartTag app, the TI app finds both the TI beacon and the Nordic Beacon.

So, it works with the Texas Instruments app and not the Nordic app.

I'm using an iPhone 7 with iOS 10.1.1.

Any ideas??

Try a different BLE Scanner. LightBlue is free, as is the Pally "BLE Scanner"
