PCA10040 doesn't work with nRFgo Studio 1.21.2

I am trying to start development on the nRF52 Dev board PCA10040. However after updating to the latest nRFgo Studio 1.21.2, I cannot seem to program the board. I'm simply trying to connect to the board to eraseALL and re-flash the SD. However the PCA10040 seems to restart and thus lose connection to nRFGo Studio. Sometimes it infact causes the software to crash. I've tested several different cables to rule that out, and re-installed jLink 5.12g several times as well. Is there anything I'm missing here? This should be straight forward. Thank for the help guys.

  • Hi Jorgen, I tried updating the interface FW with the image from the Nordic site as mentioned in the link you supplied. I updated with the J-Link OB-SAM3U128-V2-NordicSemi 160212.bin file. However the PCA10040 still reacts the same way, resetting when nRFGo Studio tries to connect to it. On the command line the following errors are returned:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\nRFgo Studio>nrfjprog --eraseall ERROR: Cannot connect to any nRF device. Please make sure a device is ERROR: connected to the debugger and supplied.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\nRFgo Studio>
