Could this be counterfeit nRF24L01+

Recently I had some strange bugs in few production devices. I inspected newer device markings and they look a bit different:

1. Pin 1 marking is square not circle.
2. Build code is 0.

Can somebody from Nordic confirm that this is valid marking? At this moment I don't know the vendor of parts (this is in progress).

It is not possible to tell by looking at the chip markings. It could be valid; I've seen square markings before. However, the chip markings may have been copied from an authentic chip, so if you want to be 100% sure you will have to send the chip to us.

The chips needs to be sent to our Quality Assurance(QA) department for analysis. I kindly ask you to create a support ticket in our Mypage system (remember to link to this devzone question) and then I'll transfer it to the QA guys. The QA guys will provide you with instructions and shipping address.

I would appreciate if you could share info on where you got the chips from, when you figure out.

Thanks, I will create a ticket. Chips were bought from Rutronik, so probably they are normal.
