NRF8001D/NRF8001C

Hello!

I have a problem with NRF8001 modules. I have two similar boards - one with NRF8001C and another with NRF8001D module. NRF8001C board works well, but NRF8001D board doesn't. The RDYN pin is always high. It seems like the module is off or the crystal oscillator can't start generating. The oscillators are the same on both boards. I tried different capacitors - it has no effect.

What is the difference between NRF8001C and NRF8001D?

You can have a look here at the answer from David Edwin.

But it's a little bit strange that it works on nRF8001C but not nRF8001D. But you can try to generate the configuration in nRFGo Studio you must select the correct setting in the Device drop down list on top left.

I would suggest to get hold of a proper crystal that match with the spec matches with the requirement at 14.1 in the nRF8001 spec.
