BL652 firmware upgrade by Jlink Edu fails

Hi

I am trying to upgrade the firmware in a BL652 using a Segger Jlink Edu. The BL652 is powered with 3.3v using a regulator off the JLink 5v output.

I had poor/unreliable firmware upgrade success by FTDI/USB/uart. I have had one module upgrade successfully after many attempts and one failure.

So I now need to use the JLink to recover module with the failed firmware upgrade

However I am not getting far with the Jlink and the Laird firmware upgrade process. Attached is a copy of my notes with some snap shots and log file

  • This morning I checked my hardware.

I found that I had wired a connector adapter from the JLink to my BL652 adapter as a JTag configuration.

Rewired my connector adapter as SWD and I had some success.

I was able to upgrade the FW of one of my BL652 modules from 28.6.1.2 to 28.6.1.4.

However the BL652 module that suffered a UART FW upgrade failure did not recover using the JLink. I can only guess that the boot loader has been corrupted in some way.
