Simple 2.4Ghz antenna

Hi,

We need a 2.4Ghz smd antenna, not to emit bluetooth but a in-house protocol we are testing. It will need to fit on a pcb and have good performance, and production ready (low cost enough). Think smartphone/tablet/thin devices.

Ideally, it may be set to lower the emitting range; but that is a bonus.

It should be connectable to an ARM Cortex-A9 cpu via spi or uart (or better?)

The setup, security, message format shall be defined by us. The antenna shall just transmit it.

What is the best product in the NS range that would fit best?

Thanks

  • IF you want short time to market, then you should definitely get a module. There is significant design experience, expertise, & effort required to get the PCB design correct - particularly for the RF part.

To be honest, the links I posted aren't the kind of module you'd use in a product - they were just the first hits on google. They are for the prototyping stage. You will still need them (or something similar) for this stage!

For production, you'd be looking at something like this: www.mouser.co.uk/.../
