Is it possible to change the antenna of nrf51822 bluetooth smart beacon?

Hi all, Is it possible to place your own antenna into nrf51822 bluetooth smart beacon kit? if it's possible, how am i going to do it?

am i suppose to remove the antenna strip located here? Thanks in advance!

Why, and what kind of antenna do you want to use instead? Note that the smart beacon kit is quite small, so the limited ground plane will affect antenna performance.

Hi, Thanks for replying. Im using a 2.4 -2.45GHz, 50 ohm nad omni directional bluetooth chip antenna. For detecting proximities abt 2m between user.

Do you have a link to the specification of the chip antenna. The antenna datasheet will usually tell you how you shoul place the chip antenna on the board.
