Nordic ID Stix fail to connect to android device

When I connect the nordic ID stix to my android tablet using the micro-USB to USB cable, the nordic ID stix doesn't appear green light on it. Is it need to install any driver on my android tablet in order to make the nordic ID stix to work and show a green light on it? Please guide me on this issue, thanks.
