NRF51822 Heart Rate Demo is not working

Hi All,

Just got my NRF51822 development board today and cannot get the heart rate demo from SDK to work. Two issues:

1> The PCA1004 board (the one without antenna) cannot be recognised by the debugger at all. In NrfGo Studio, it just shows "no device connected" no matter how I tried to click the recover button.

2> The PCA 1005 board works fine. It works with the blinky demo (Although only light 0,1 light up). However, when I tried to run the HR demo from the SDK, no indicating light and the master doggle cannot discover it. I have flashed the latest softdevice 6.0.0 before I download the program. I 've also changed the IROM1 to 0x14000, IRAM1 to 0x20002000. Both sizes are 0x4000 (cannot make them smaller or the program won't compile under Keil uvision 4.52. )

Tried to search for solutions but got no luck.

Any help on this will be much appreciated!!

Thanks for the response.

I've tried the suggested IROM and ram settings from s110 specification. But the ble-app-hrs cannot be compiled under this setting, as it complains about the memory size.. Please see my attachment.

You're not using the correct projects. The projects in the serialization subfolder is meant to be used in a serialization setup, not directly with a softdevice. This also explains why it wasn't setup for use with the softdevice initially, as it isn't meant to be used on a chip with a softdevice.

Please use the project in Board\nrf6310\s110\ble_app_hrs\arm instead.
