Hello, I only recently discovered Nordic Semi and I'm looking through the various products. I'm wondering what Soc offers the lowest link latency for audio, seems like 2.4ghz proprietary is the way to go? Thanks much

Hi,
If you intend to do real time audio streaming, proprietary is the way to go if you want to use one of our SoCs. You can use the nRF51 or the nRF52. We don't have any ready-made solutions for audio streaming, but it is theoretically possible to use the radio in proprietary mode and send the audio data with low latency. For example this product sends audio with low latency using nRF51.
If you want to do audio compression on the chip, the nRF52 will be a better choice than the nRF51 because of processing power, such as processor speed, floating point operation and DSP functionality. Both these chips have 2Mbps proprietary radio mode. The nRF52 also has lower power consumption than the nRF51 and have a PDM and I2S peripheral on the chip.
