Problem with DVK BL652 and SDK nRF52

Hello,

I am writing to you because I have a problem with the DVK BL652. I ran the Quick Starter and all worked well. The DVK BL652 and UwTerminal software communicated perfectly. The drivers for the FTDI are well installed.

I then tried to program the DVK BL652 using the JTAG and the SDK nRF52 with the Keil IDE. I encountered the following error: "No Cortex-M SW Device Found" and "Error: Flash Downfailed - Target DLL has been canceled".

Due to this problem already very annoying, I tried to redo the Quick Starter of the DVK BL652. Nothing works. The FTDI drivers are always well installed. But the UwTerminal software can no longer communicate with the DVK BL652.

I figured that maybe the firmware of the DVK BL652 was erase. So I tried a Firmware Update with a Uart link (with the Device Firmware Upgrade (v5.00) software). But I have the following errors: Failed to synchronize with the device, retrying ... Failed to initiate flash program mode Module failed to enter program flash mode ERROR: Failed to upgrade with resultcode UWF_RESP_TIMEOUT.

So I do not know what to do.

How can I solve this big problem? How can the DVK BL652 Quick Starter work again?

How do I program the DVK BL652 and the BL652 module afterwards with Keil and the SDK nRF52?

Thank you in advance for your help and your answers.

My best regards.

  • Since DVK BL652 is an Laird product Laird forums may be a better place to get support. This seems to be a Laird devkit issue rather than general Nordic nRF52 related one. From what you've written there's a problem in connection between programmer and the CPU.

Judging from datasheet this board has a metric ton of configuration jumpers and operating modes so maybe it's good starting point to check that it's configured to accept jtag commands.
