nRF Connect issue under Windows

we experience an issue with the PC-based nRF Connect tool, details are as follows:

• we use scan to discover BLE devices,
• we connect to the device in question,
• nRF Connect displays all services/characteristics correctly
• once we try to a) write to a characteristic b) change the CCCD descriptor nRF Connect returns with a timeout error. Why?

Observations:

• the device we want to connect to is of nRF52 / SD132 design
• when using nRF Connect under Android/iOS all works fine
• when using the Windows-based nRF Connect application we can easily read from/write to BLE113 modules.

Could you capture a sniffer trace so we can see what is happening?
There might be a discovery timeout. Could you wait for at least 30 seconds before you do the write to see if you get a timeout?

Sorry I clicked on the wrong button... This here is the answer:

We added the following line to static void on_ble_evt(ble_evt_t * p_ble_evt)

rc = sd_ble_gap_sec_params_reply (mConnHandle, BLE_GAP_SEC_STATUS_PAIRING_NOT_SUPP, NULL, NULL);

Now everything works fine.
