Upgrade to S130 from S110?

I have an application developed using S110 v7.3. I want to upgrade to v8.0 to get additional features (over air update, DC/DC converter etc.), but notice S110 is not supported in new versions of the SDK. Newer SDK supports S130 however, which I understand can operate also as peripheral.

What is the recommended upgrade path? I there any advantage if I modify my application to use S130 v2.1 (basing my application on examples from the SDK v12.2.0) compared with upgrading to S110 (basing my application on examples from SDK v10.0.0, which I think is the latest SDK that supports S110)? Which path requires least modifications to my application?

SDK 10 was the last version to support the S130 softdevice

S130 is a superset of S110 and supports peripheral and central.

You may want to wait for an answer from Nordic, but IMHO the easiest way to update would be to move to SDK10 and stay on the S110 SD. You may have problems if you try to use the S130 as I think it requires more RAM.

You'd need to look at the release notes to see what other benefits there would be to migrating to SDK12.2 e.g. bug fixes, and whether they are important to your application

Yes, the latest SDK that supports S110 is version 10. In general we recommend to use the latest SoftDevice with the latest SDK, but the easiest way is probably as Roger says, SDK10. The disadvantage is that you don't get the new features, bugfixes of the latest SoftDevices, the S110 is not being updated.

Are there any official "Roadmap" for the SDK and softdevices? For example, on the nRF51822 download page, S110 is available for download, but not SDKv10 where this device is supported. I have not been able to find official information which version you recommend.
