NRF51821 10001 not detected on Windows 7

The 10000 dongle does get detected in nrfgo Studio but the 10001 board does not. There are no USB devices with exclamation marks or otherwise undetected when the 10001 is plugged in. In fact, the computer does not react at all when I plug in the 10001. No 'detecting device' or 'installing driver' popup at all.

The lights on the board do blink when I plug it in so I don't think the board is broken. And when I plug it into my linux machine, lsusb picks up its presence.

Ideas?

Hi Marvin,

The PCA10001 board will blink continuously (LED marked "LD3") when it's trying to enumerate/establish the USB connection. As it's detected in linux, this means that the physical soldering/connector is working properly.

Are you sure it's not windows that is trying to search online for the driver? This may take quite some time before it's recognized. You should be able to see this under "Device manager" if this is the case.

I don't see anything in device manager. As far as I can tell Windows never tries searching for drivers.

Same issue here. I've tried it with two different computers and gotten the same result.

I also tried it with another PCA10001 kit and the computer didn't find that one either, so it doesn't appear to be a hardware problem.
